Korintje Cinnamon Ground

Korintje Cinnamon (Cinnamomum burmanii) is native to Southeast Asia and Indonesia. It is normally found in West Sumatra in the region known as Kerinci Regency a regency of Jambi province (hence the name Korintje) near the city of Padang. This cinnamon is a favorite in the baking industry. It has a 2.5% oil content making it more flavorful and robust than ordinary cinnamon. Mix with our Xanthan Gum for a rich filling used in cinnamon rolls. The ratio for mixing is recipe specific but 2 teaspoons of xanthan gum for 10 rolls.
